With our genre questionnaire, my group and I asked 30 random people (16 female, 14 male) the same questions and we found out things that will help us in producing our teaser trailer. From the results we found out that many of the people asked were aged between 17-25, this means that our target audience could be a younger generation. This could help us in advertising the product.
We also found out that people watch films both at home and at the cinema. This means that we need to make the teaser trailer appealing so the target audience goes to see the film in the cinema and then purchaces it to watch at home. This will then give us a stronger audience. From our results we also found out that people think teaser trailers should last from 30 seconds to one minute. This is enough time to give an indication of what the film is about, but doesn't give anything away - it doesn't tell the audience the story. This means the audience become intrigued and then more interested when they see posters advertising it and magazine's also.
Finally, my group and I found out that the highest result for genre was 'drama'. After recieving this result, we think it would be good to do a teaser trailer using this genre as we haven't used it before in our coursework. It was also the most popular chosen genre, meaning our film would appeal to the audience and make our film a success.
