From the questionnaire my group and I found out that after people see a film trailer it makes them want to see the film itself. Out of all of the people we asked, we got the result that most people think the cutting rate of a teaser trailer depends on the genre of the film. For example, if the film was an action it would contain alot more fast-cutting rate shots than in a romance.
We found out that half of the people asked liked the trailer to give away the storyline. However, the other half prefered not really knowing the storyline. This leaves us with the decision of deciding wether to reveal alot of the plot.
The questionnaire tells us that people find music to be quite important in a teaser trailer, this means that we will be likely to include background music (non-diagetic) to our trailer. Half of the people we asked said that a voice over wasn't important in a teaser trailer. Whereas, the other half said it was. This leaves us with the decision of including a voice over or not. I think my group and I will use a voice over as we think it will make our teaser trailer more effective.
